On Wednesday 25th March, Sydney Secondary College held a Diversity Day celebration on Blackwattle Campus. There were fairground rides, food stalls, a talent show and lots of stalls providing information on different causes. Best of all...no classes that day!
The Best Buddies stand was very popular throughout the day as Charlee, Sophia and the team sold and applied temporary tattoos to students and ran a competition to guess the number of easter eggs in a jar. All proceeds raised to go to their first group activity of the year. The tattoos were so realistic...one student walked away with 10!
The day was a great way to get the Best Buddies message out there to the students and teachers who hadn't heard of it before. Everyone had a great time. Special thanks to all the teachers that supported the team on the day - Ms Hinchey, Ms Smiles, Ms Hamid.
